Baykal: Let this Obstinacy Aside!

He said, "Mr. Prime Minister should let aside his personal feelings and obstinacy. I wish him success in his Brussels visit. If he listens to our statements, I am ready for all kinds of contribution and collaboration."

Meanwhile, the petition launched by Republican People’s Party to Parliament to hold an extraordinary session next Tuesday, September 28, to pass the Turkish Penal motion, was met negatively by ruling AKP. The party’s members say, "We are the ones that can convene Parliament if necessary." The party will reportedly wait for the outcome of the Brussels visit of Erdogan.

Arinc Supports Baykal

AKP deputy and Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc supported the call made by CHP leader Deniz Baykal to gather Parliament and pass the Penal Law. He said that "Delay of the TCK will create a problem with EU. This issue should be solved before the Progress report of EU."
