Baykal: EU made a big mistake by letting in southern Cyprus

"The EU maintains its great injustice. It was hoped to date that the north and the south would agree. However, it did not work. Everybody made its choice. Southern Cyprus entered the EU. But it cannot enter representing the entire island. There gas been a different political identity in the north for the past 30 years," he added.
Baykal urged the government to put an emergency action plan into practice in order to support northern Cyprus.
Emphasizing that the EU would give many funds to southern Cyprus, Baykal claimed that it would not allow northern Cyprus to sell its products.
