Baghdad: Iraqi civilian groups protest UN HQ blast

Members of various civilian groups gathered on a pedestrian bridge, close to UN headquarters. The group, backed by Iraq’s Lawyers Society, blasted on the truck bomb attack which killed 24 people including the UN envoy to Iraq, Sergio Vieira de Mello, and injured 100 others.
The protestors accused US troops of not taking enough security measures at critical points in the city.
US soldiers did not interfere with the protestors who disperced peacefully at the end of the protest.
