"Attempts were real to send Kaplan to another country"
BERLIN (AA) – Germany’s Bayerischer State Interior Minister Günther Beckstein said today that the government met with some African and South European countries to send banned religious leader Metin Kaplan, but despite of offered economic assistance, these countries refused Berlin’s proposal due to a possible political crisis.
Minister Beckstein stated that due to Kaplan and other criminals’ events, foreigners’ law had to be changed and there was no place in Germany to those who were trained in terrorism camps.
He added that return of people who committed crime in Germany had to be facilitated and today’s foreigner law wouldn’t consider security situation in Germany.
