Arafat-Qurie in New Peace Push

Palestinian lawmakers last night approved Prime Minister Ahmed Qurie’s new government, setting the stage for a renewed push to implement the stalled, US-backed "road map" peace plan.

The vote came after Palestinian President Yasser Arafat joined Qurie in calling for an end to three years of Intifadha that has claimed thousands of lives.
