Arafat Meets with Al-Fatah Deputies

Arafat accepted on August 18 that his administration has made "unacceptable" mistakes and promised broad reforms in the corrupt Palestinian administration.

Meanwhile, Parliament Deputy Speaker Hasan Hreys announced that although a session was scheduled for today, it was postponed until tomorrow. The reason given was that the postponement allows deputies to attend an event to support Palestinian captives on a hunger strike in Israeli prisons.
