Anti-Turkey protest in Greek side of Cyprus

In organization of South Cyprus Greek Administration and Greek Kurdistan Solidarity Commitee, as many as 500 protesters gathered at Eleftheria Square in Nicosia’s Greek side. The group demanded jailed ex-PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan to be set free. Over 1,5 hour demonstration, the crowd holding banners chanted slogans in Kurdish as, "Freedom for Kurdistan!", "Freedom for Ocalan!", "Med TV should be open!" Greek police took intense security measures to prevent any tumult.
It is reported that this Greek side took a false step as allowing members of PKK-KADEK –which is recognized as terrorist organization by both USA and EU– to stage anti-Turkey protest in those critical days for a permanent solution in divided island.
