Annual inflation decreased by 39% in Türkiye


Inflation in Türkiye has decreased again, APA-Economics reports citing the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).

The annual inflation rate in February of this year made up 39.05%. In January, this figure was 42.12%. In January, consumer prices increased by 2.27% compared to the previous month.

It is noted that compared to February of the previous year, the group with the least increase was clothing and footwear, with 20.84%, while the group with the highest increase was education, with 94.90%.

Recall that in Türkiye, inflation reached its highest level in the last 24 years in October 2022, at 85.5%, and last year, the highest level of this indicator was recorded in May, at 75.45%.
