Annan Requests, Iraq National Conference Postponed

The Preparation Committee Spokesman Abdulhalim Al Ruhaymi said, "We received a letter from Annan requesting postponement of the Iraq National Conference."

According to Al-Ruhaymi, the letter disclosed that some Iraqi parties do not want to be involved in the Congress and that Annan needs more time to convince them. The Spokesman said, "We have decided to postpone the Conference for two weeks."
