Ankara launches initiative upon statements of Zebari

ANKARA (AA) – Sources said that a high-ranking official from the Foreign Ministry called officials of the US Embassy on Thursday evening and said that "the statements of a person who was charged by the approval of the United States, are in full contradiction with the United States’ application to Turkey." The high-ranking official asked the United States to clarify this issue.

Another official from the Ministry said that they were informed about talks between Turkish and US military-technical delegations on Friday morning and stated that some technical issues became definite, adding that however, there were many other issues which would be debated.

The official said that it was out of question to end talks and added that Zebari’s statements did not have any relation with this issue.
