Ankara considers US not Iraqi Council

Government decided to wait for an official statement by the US about sending troop issue. During yesterday’s Minister Council’s meeting the latest developments in Iraq were taken up and Bremer’s words were evaluated. Upon this, the government decided that its drawee was the US but not Bremer so the importan thing was US’ statement.

In addition to this, with rejection of March 1 proposal relations with the US tensed but approval of the latest bill regarding sending troops ties hailed and Ankara did what was necessary on this issue.
