Andy Warhol’s exhibition opens door to visitors in Türkiye’s Istanbul – Turkiye Newspaper


There is intense interest in Türkiye’s Istanbul from the favorite exhibitions and art lovers of recent times. The “Andy Warhol-Istanbul” exhibition, featuring 125 works by Andy Warhol, one of the most influential figures of twentieth-century contemporary art and the pioneer of the Pop-art movement, will open on October 1, 2023, at Ataturk Cultural Centre. The exhibition, which includes 125 works of Warhol, can be visited at the Istanbul Tulip Museumuntil 29 February. The 10 works in the exhibition will meet art lovers at Ataturk Cultural Centrefor 2 weeks starting from September 30, 2023, as part of Beyoğlu Culture Road Events.

The launch of the exhibition will be held on September 30, 2023, by the Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy at Ataturk Cultural Centre within the scope of Beyoglu Culture Road Events. The works will be exhibited at Atatürk Cultural Centre for 15 days.

Warhol, who started his art career by making commercial illustrations, gradually became one of the colorful names of the modern art world. He is one of the leading representatives of the pop art movement and is known for his radical approaches to the art world. Born in Pittsburgh in 1928, Warhol was born to a Slovak immigrant family.
