An Iranian person freezes to death in border region

Sources told the A.A correspondent on Tuesday that Ibrahim Kasimi, Hussein Cevanni and Muhammad Esedi of Iranian origin, had entered Turkey illegally to spend the Feast of Sacrifice with their relatives in Semdinli town.

Ibrahim Kasimi, 25, froze to death in a snowstorm while the other two have taken shelter in Alan village.

After receiving information from residents in the village, gendarme teams have launched an operation to find Kasimi. Following a two-hour search, they found body of Kasimi.

Sources said that Cevanni and Esedi were handed over to Iranian officials at Esendere Customs Gate.
