Al Qaeda Justifies Targeting Turkey

Ankara, TURKEY, November 19, 2003 – Al Qaeda was announcing deadly threats month ago, before the suicide attacks on two Istanbul synagogues on Saturday.

Yusuf Ayyeri, known to have been close to Osama Bin Laden, and sometimes described as Bin Laden’s ‘ghost-writer’ because he frequently authored statements and other literature for a website thought to be linked to Al Qaeda, threatened Turkey in a book he wrote.
