Al-Jazeera: Iraqi Insurgents Abduct German

Al-Jazeera broadcast a segment of the video containing images of the insurgents who stressed that the hostage was a German citizen. In the video they announce that the Islamic Protection Brigade has abducted Alzaidi as hostage and, he begs German Chancellor Gerhard Schroder and the German media to help secure his release.

Al-Jazeera did not broadcast images of Alzaidi; however, his passport was shown.
