Afghan women rally for peace and security
In the rally, women’s non-governmental organisations (NGOs) called for the existence and extension of military forces such as ISAF or NATO, both in Kabul and all over Afghanistan for peace and security.
The 11-point declaration, read out at Kabul’s Women’s Garden, called for the disarming of militias and speedy reconstruction of the war-ravaged country. Other articles in the declaration called for the deployment of the new national army and police across Afghanistan.
