Adultery Break to Revolution on TCK

Talks that were to replace the 78-year-old Turkish Penal Code were deadlocked on "Adultery." Because it could not insert adultery to the law as a crime, AKP froze it. After AKP’s initiative to insert the clause under the heading "Sexual infidelity" and the objection of republican People’s Party at it, the government withdrew the law to the commission, when the implementation clauses were discussed.

AKP’s Firat said, "This is sufficient for the European Union."

CHP described this behavior of AKP as "Disrespect!"
CHP official Ali Topuz said, "If they include the adultery later, it will be a political adultery."
