About 100 Kurds are killed in Iraq bombing of the Turkish aviation
Turkey August 17 resumed air strikes against rebel Kurdish positions Workers Party of Kurdistan (PKK) in the mountains in Iraq, attacks that had not recurred for over a year.
The army said that it is a provisional count, adding that 14 facilities, eight food stores, other ammunition, nine air guns, 18 caves and 79 also were bombed hideouts in the operation.
Turkey believes that around 2,000 PKK guerrillas are in this area under Iraqi Kurdish administration.
