A Turkish team to search and rescue work in Iraq

ANKARA (AA) – A 10-people search and rescue group will fly to Baghdad today by a plane which is belong to the US.

Following yesterday’s huge blast at UN building killing UN’s Iraq representative and 20 people, US Embassy in Turkey applied to Turkish Interior Ministry to provide help and personnel to participate in work.

After it, ministry welcomed the offer and charged nine civil defence personnel and a doctor with helping people who were under ruins of UN building.

In addition to team, technical supplies were also sent to Baghdad.
