A Series of Explosions in Iraq: 70 Dead

It is reported that the detonation of a truck full of explosives near the entrance of a local police station in the northern Baghdad city of Divala claimed the lives of 8 people.

Police Officer Mohammad Hasan noted that a car exploded near one of the entrances of a police station in the city of Divala.

Ahmed Fuat at Babuka Hospital also reported that the 8 corpses were brought to the hospital.

Reports state that 14 people were injured in the explosions.

12 Iraqi policemen were also killed in an explosion near a hospital in Musul city in northern Iraq.

Captain Kazım Mohammad Emin from the local Iraq Police said that the explosion took place while the policemen were gathered near the hospital where they collect their salaries.

Emin said that 12 policemen were killed in the explosion, while another 6 were injured, he noted the cause of the explosion remains unknown however, it suggested that the cause may have been a rocket.

A fight between local police and members of the resistance who attacked to a police station resulted in the death of 36 people.

Meanwhile, it is also reported that a suicide attack near a police station in Babuka City in Iraq killed14.

Officers at the local hospital say that 13 people were injured in the attack.
