A.J. Gallagher to enhance brokerage capabilities in Türkiye with Aspera acquisition – Reinsurance News
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Aspera Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş. (Aspera), an insurance and reinsurance brokerage firm based in Istanbul, Türkiye, in an undisclosed transaction.
Aspera specialises in clients operating in sectors including energy & power, industrial property, financial lines, construction, and aviation & space.
Founding partner Evrim Özkoç and the broking team will continue with the business. They will operate under the leadership of Gündüz Tezel, who heads Gallagher’s operations in Türkiye.

This acquisition is part of Gallagher’s ongoing expansion strategy. Some of its recent acquisitions include California-based Cornerstone and Florida’s The John Galt Insurance Agency.
