EU’s Bolkestein: We will contribute to Cyprus peace process

Speaking afterwards, Bolkestein said that the commission would contribute to the island’s peace process. For his part, the foreign minister said that no one could possibly ignore the EU’s views on the issue. Later, Bolkestein travelled to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to meet with Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat.
