Turkish Olive Oil wins over the Japanese

Taris Olive Oil and Olive Oil Union Head Cahit Cetin said that marks a great victory for Turkish olive oil in the Japan because they have now broken the dominance of the Italians and Spanish in this market. Cetin drew attention to their positive results in Japan, saying: " Taris Olive Oil is already the olive oil of choice among 600 Italian restaurants in Japan. We send a container of product every year. Other companies enter this market disguising their products with Italian marks.. On the contrary, we have entered with Taris mark." With the success of Japan fresh on its mind, Taris is now also looking to capture the markets of North Korea and Australia.

Additionally, Cetin noted that Taris struck a deal with a producer of canned tuna. The producer’s canned tuna will have the words "With Taris Olive Oil" on its labels. This marks another first that has not yet been accomplished in Turkey. Cetin said: "We are telling the story of our olive oil being mentioned on the product labels because of the demand of our Japanese customers. We are developing a sort of mythological story about the olive oil. Therefore, a far eastern customer might become interested in traveling to the place where the olive oil is produced."
