Ecevit: US covets Syria and Iran after toppled Iraq
Ecevit evaluated the reports saying that around 60,000 troops would be deployed in Turkey and stated that many lawyers were in consensus that the issue had to be submitted to Parliament.
He went on to say, "It is understood that our government approved the deployment of US troops in Turkey. But I can’t see any reason for so huge amount of US troops to be rotated throughout Turkey."
