German FM Fischer to visit Turkey on January 21

Foreign Ministry noted on Monday that Fischer would pay a visit to Turkey between 21-22 January as the guest of Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul.

Fischer will meet with Gul on Wednesday and delegations from two sides will come together under the leadership of Gul and Fischer the same day.

Turkey’s EU membership process, reform activities in Turkey, cooperation against terrorism, international and regional issues are expected to be taken up during the meetings.

Fischer who will be received by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday, will leave Ankara on Thursday.
