Iraq: US helicopter crashes, 1 dead

"One soldier was killed and another wounded when a OH-58 Delta Kiowa crashed at around midday in Fallujah," the spokesperson confirmed the crash.
There is no detailed information from the US army on what happened to the OH-58, a reconnaissance helicopter which normally carries a crew of two.
Meanwhile some witnesses said that they saw it come under fire and then crash. US forces backed by two helicopters began search operations this morning here, one eyewitness.
Another one said, "around 1:00 pm (local time), I saw one of the helicopters taking fire and it crashed behind the bridge on the Euphrates river west of Fallujah."
Soldiers rushed into wreckage site and launched a wide investigation to catch the attackers.
