Turkish FM Gul to visit Iran on Friday

Gul when asked if he would be visiting Iran during a press conference, had said, "We will go."

Meanwhile, members of the GEA Search and rescue team formed by New Yuksektepe Culture Center, who returned from Iran on Tuesday, held a press conference in Istanbul.

They said that the houses made from bricks using desert sand, had become sand piles after the earthquake, adding that most deaths were due people being unable to breathe under the rubble.

They said the team had pulled out 16 corpses during the four days they were in the region, adding that five members had remained behind to assist in the humanitarian services.

Those who survived the earthquake in the city were mostly people who woke up to attend morning prayers, they said.
