Turkey rejects U.S. mediation in the crisis with Israel
We do not need mediation in any way," said Davutoglu during a televised press conference in the central province of Konya when asked about possible U.S. assistance in this diplomatic crisis that lasted for more than one year. "We’re in a situation that needs mediation. The demands for Turkey to improve relations with Israel are clear," he said.
"No one should put to test our seriousness," he added, noting that the issue of relations between Turkey and Israel will be discussed perhaps for the planned meeting between U.S. President, Barack Obama and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan , outside the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York.
