Turkey Solves NATO’s Helicopter Gap in Afghanistan

Turkey has offered three helicopters for NATO’s peacekeeping force in Afghanistan, filling a gap that had begun to undermine the credibility of plans to expand the mission beyond Kabul, a diplomat said on Thursday.
"We have solved the helicopter problem," the diplomat told Reuters as alliance foreign ministers gathered for a two-day meeting. "Turkey is providing three Black Hawks."
