EU report is like a six-month road map for Turkey
ANKARA (AA) – Turkish Industrialist and Businessmen Association (TUSIAD) said in a written statement that the European Union Progress Report wraps a structure that stresses the lacking of accordance to the economic criteria after evaluating that the democratization packages passed by the Parliament and the Copenhagen political criteria are positive developments.
Stating that the report does not tell new things, TUSIAD said, “it also stresses on the grave condition Turkey would counter with following the full membership of North Cyprus to the EU on May 1, 2004.
“It’s important that the report appreciates the steps Turkey has taken and takes attention to the lacking sides to Turkey’s accordance to EU. By this way, the report is like a 6-month road map,” TUSIAD said.
