Turkish Doctors to go on strike on November 5

Turkish Doctors’ Association (TTB) Chairperson Fusun Sayek called on the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) government to be more sensitive about health problems.

Sayek recalled that doctors would go on strike on November 5 in order to fulfill their moral responsibilities to both themselves and the people. She stressed, "doctors’ continuing to serve people in an insufficient health system is the biggest wrong against our people."

“We want support the public on November 5. We will give up working for one day for the health of the public,” Sayek said.
