Yalman: Kemalism Is Summit Of Modernity

Yalman drew attention to the fact that the sole democratic Moslem country was Turkey and that the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) had a great contribution in this. Yalman said, “The Republic is built on the nation-state and its determining characteristic is its being unitary and secular. In spite of the claims of some circles, secularism is not against religion, it is the guarantee of religious freedom.”
