Ramallah: Israeli troops launch raid in West Bank

The house belonged to Mohammed Maslah Abou Salha, an activist of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’Brigade. Army jeeps patrolled the streets of Ramallah, notably around the headquarters of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. The troops, backed by armoured cars and bulldozers, pushed several hundred metres into the camp in the autonomous Palestinian sector, with troops firing warning shots. The bullozers proceeded to raze 15 houses in the area before the Israeli forces withdrew.
