Baykal: Universities secure Turkey’s future

Opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal said today that universities secured the future of the country and educated the youth to become the elite of the society.

Speaking at the celebrations for the 81st anniversary of freeing of Izmir from Greek occupation, Baykal claimed that currently, universities faced dangers from some quarters, adding that CHP was with the universities in their efforts to protect themselves from outside influences.
