No emergency parliamentary session

ANKARA – Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Seventh European Union Harmonization Package had passed and discussions on this issue were
now behind them.

Speaking as he was boarding a flight to Mus to attend the 932nd anniversary of Manzikert Victory, Erdogan replied to outgoing National Security Council (MGK) Secretary General Tuncer Kilinc’s criticism that seventh EU package had made MGK irrelevant, saying that this issue was behind them.

He said delegations in Iraq had nothing new to say as yet, adding that if anything developed, Foreign Ministry and Prime Ministry would hold a press conference.

He dismissed claims that Parliament would be called to convene before October 1, adding that Parliament would open on schedule.

Erdogan will return to Ankara after attending various celebrations and openings in Bingol and Mus.
