The Greek Deputy Defence Minister warned Turkey

According to the Athens News Agency Deputy Defence Minister Teodoros Koçonis, there were forces trying to cut the increasing ties between Greece and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Speaking to the Greek press on the island of Crete Wednesday, Koçonis said that this attempt to undermine relations was the root cause behind the increased numbers of infringements of Greek airspace by Turkish warplanes.
He went on to claim that there was tension between the government of Turkey and the hidden state which he said was an order established by the military and diplomatic circles that targeted the Turkish Greece dialogue.
“These kinds of provocations will continue,” he said. “We have to be cold blooded against these. We want to protect peace and our national interests in the region. I hope the main objective for Turkish side is also peace.”
