Germany is still harboring terrorists ?

“Herr Kaplan was granted political asylum,” said Cologne Administrative Court spokesman Ulrich Mueller-Bernhardt. “That was withdrawn, and it is against that withdrawal that he is now appealing.”

In June German Interior Minister Otto Schily called for Kaplan’s swift deportation, saying that the Turkish government had provided assurances that Kaplan “was neither threatened with the death penalty nor with torture”.

Kaplan walked free from a court in Duesseldorf last month after a ruling that he could not be extradited to Turkey because he was likely to be politically persecuted in Turkey and because evidence against him had possibly been obtained by the torture of his supporters by Turkish police.

He earlier served a four-year jail term for inciting followers to murder a defector.
