CHP leader Deniz Baykal said that the decision of United Nations must be awaited to send troops to Iraq.

Ankara Awaits Answers To Three Questions:

Ankara which is warm in principle to send troops to Iraq, is awaiting clarification to three questions;

* What will the status of the Turkish soldiers be?

* What will be the scope of mission of the Turkish soldiers?

* How will the expenditures will be met?

Jalal Talabaný, the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan told NTV that they opposed a mission to be given to the Turkish army in Northern Iraq.”They have already displayed what they want, once they enter Northern Iraq” he said.

Talabani called on Turkey to issue a general amnesty, for terrorists.

Turkey will initially send 1000-1500 troops to Iraq, once a Parliamentary decision is taken to send them. This permit is expected to pass from Parliament easily.
