Turkish student selected to join center for excellence

Sponsored by the Center for Excellence in Education in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Center’s Research Science Institute, combines six weeks of classroom lectures in science and math and intensive hands-on research under the tutelage of distinguished university professors and researchers. Students participating in this program represent the nation’s top one percent of mathematics and science students, as do the 31 international students who have come from Bulgaria, Egypt, Germany, India, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.

The program is being held in Boston, Massachusetts, at the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The six week program commences on June 24, 2003 and ends on August 1, 2003

The Center for Excellence in Education recognizes the need to nurture science and technology excellence and leadership in order to keep the U.S. competitive and at the same time further international understanding among future leaders of the world.
