Potential Embargo Lift Threatens $2.5 Million Turkish Contract
According to information obtained from the authorities of the Foreign Trade Undersecretary and Foreign Economic Affairs Committee involving the Oil-for-Food Program, Turkey has, to date, signed contracts with Iraq worth $2.5 billion. Of this amount, the United Nations has approved over $1.9 billion. A $200 million portion of the total contracts has been accredited within the frame of the Program.
