Turkish Tourism Industry Sees Jump in Reservations

Pointing out that the Iraq war had not prevented the opening of new hotels, Mediterranean Tourism Hoteliers and Managers Union Director Osman Ayik said that five-star hotels under construction in Belek and Kundu had opened on time. According to Ayik, Turkey’s resources in facilities and services had played an important role in the recovery of the tourism industry, in addition to the short duration of the war in Iraq. Meanwhile, Kusadasi Hoteliers Union Director Mehmet Akal said that they would achieve their goals. Tourism industry member Yasar Sunal advised that reservations had already reached 60-70 percent level.
