Turkey’s main stock index drops by 0.49pct

(MENAFN) Turkey’s main stock index fell by 0.49 percent to reach 2,438.84 points on Friday.

Bursa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index opened the day at 2,422.80 points, down 12 points from the prior ending of 2,418.10 points.

The index reached a low of 2,434.17 points during the day, and a high of 2,470.04 points.

By market closing, the BIST 100 had a total market value of about 1.98 trillion Turkish liras (USD120.96 billion), with a daily exchanging volume of 39.2 billion Turkish liras (USD2.39 billion).
In comparison to the prior end, 39 stocks on the index increased, 60 decreased, and one remained unchanged on the penultimate exchanging day of the week.
