Iran, Turkey to boost cultural ties: Turkish minister

"Iran is Turkey’s major and important neighbor and Turkish nation are friends of the Iranian nation," the Turkish minister told IRNA on the sidelines of Iran’s Cultural Week here. He expressed satisfaction over an ongoing exhibition here which
showcases Iranian calligraphy and paintings, saying exhibitions of this kind provide a suitable ground for the two nations to better familiarize themselves with each other’s culture. The Turkish minister also referred to the great cultural commonalties between Iran and Turkey, and voiced support for greater cultural interaction between them.
