Keegan bid for Alpay?

Boss Graham Taylor is desperate to sell so that he can raise funds to bring in new players.
Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United have also asked about the player, but there is still nothing concrete for Villa to discuss.
Certainly Villa’s asking price of £4 million, for a 29-year-old player John Gregory signed for £5 million two-and-a-half years ago, is a sticking point for the clubs who have asked after the player so far.
But it is thought that Villa may now accept £2-3 million for the player
He clearly has no future under Taylor, who this week repeated his call to other clubs to come in and sign Alpay.
The issue is dragging on far longer than Taylor had anticipated and while the Villa boss is looking for a quick sale, there are those in the game who feel that it may now be the end of the season before Alpay is sold.
