Miami Real Estate Market Abuzz Over Plans To Take Down Convention Center In Place Of A New One

It has been made clear over the years that the region is set on being able to boost the economy by placing its attention on the tourism industry which has always done very well and continues to do so in recent times which explains why many are convinced that such a development project is going to do wonders for the region’s economy by way of pulling up the Miami real estate market, especially since it is expected to provide up to 6 million square feet of space for the real estate market.

However, in order for the real estate development project to push through, people are going to have to say goodbye to all of the existing establishments and infrastructures — including the City Hall and the old Jackie Gleason Center — located on the site in order to pave way for something much bigger than before.

The development project is going to transform the site into a new complex which will features 800 or more hotel rooms, a 60,000 square foot ballroom, a new convention center to take the place of the old one, numerous condominiums, recreational parks, as well as many more commercial real estate spaces which will cater to the growing demand for office spaces and restaurants on the Miami real estate market.

With such an enormous plan set ahead for the region, it seems that there are a lot of people who are not exactly pleased with what is being proposed since not everyone agrees that the existing establishments and infrastructures should be taken down in the first place. However, it seems that the site is the only ideal option on the South Florida housing market which will perfectly accommodate to such a development project since there is only so much space that the project is going to require, especially considering the economic pull that will be guaranteed from the location.

While the development project is truly promising on a massive scale, people have yet to find out how things are going to materialize now that the proposal has been issued. Now that a lot of people have expressed their dislike in the project, many feel that it could be possible that millions could go wasted on a plan that could end up becoming rejected.
