Kales expands in Turkey with acquisition of ACT – Air Cargo News

GSSA Kales Group has acquired Turkey-based ACT Global as part of efforts to expand its presence in the country.

Kales said that the acquisition of ACT comes as demand out of the country is on the rise and added that the move will also support a wider global expansion.

The company provides cargo solutions to a “wide range of international and regional carriers”, Kales said.

According to its website, ACT was founded in 2019 and offers reservation & operation, sales & marketing, management, and accounting & administration services.

The website lists three offices in the Istanbul area and a fourth in Adana close to Cukurova International.

Airlines listed on its site include Astral Aviation, RwandAir, Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines and Pakistan International Airlines.

Kales chief executive Sebastiaan Scholte said: “The acquisition of ACT Global reinforces Kales’ strategic goal of enhancing its presence in high-growth regions. As Turkey continues to serve as a critical hub for air cargo between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, this move allows Klaes Group to better serve customers with seamless, efficient, and reliable airfreight solutions.

“This acquisition not only strengthens our position in Turkey but also supports our global expansion strategy by allowing us to offer even more value to our airline partners and clients worldwide.”

ACT Global managing director Selcuk Yeginer added: “We do share the same entrepreneurial, agile, customer-centric mentality, and we look forward to a bright future together full of growth.”
