ISTANBUL, Aug 27 (Reuters) –Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Tuesday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 was quoted at 34.000-34.0320 against the U.S. dollar at 0411 GMT, compared with a close of 33.9900 on Monday.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.06% lower at 9,565.76 points on Monday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Asian stocks fell on Tuesday as investors pondered looming U.S. interest rate cuts and awaited earnings from AI darling Nvidia, while rising tensions in the Middle East and supply concerns checked risk sentiment and lifted oil prices.
CENTRAL BANK
The central bank will release the minutes of last week’s monetary policy committee meeting, where it left its policy rate unchanged at 50%. (1100 GMT)
It will also announce August sectoral inflation expectations. (0700 GMT)
AZERI FOREIGN MINISTER
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan hosts his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov in Ankara for talks on bilateral and regional matters.
