Big names set to perform in Türkiye
ISTANBUL
Several big names from the music world will be performing in Türkiye until the end of the year.
American singer-songwriter Blondshell, who blends different genres such as alternative rock, indie rock, grunge and Britpop, will give a concert in Istanbul on Aug. 13.
German DJ and producer Ben Böhmer, a rising star of the Berlin electronic music scene, will come to Türkiye again after a two-year break.
Charlotte Cardin, FJAAK, Ellen Allien to meet fans
Inspired by music genres such as soul-pop, indie electronica, R&B and jazz, young Canadian singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin, who has stood out in the international music scene with her style, will meet her fans in Istanbul as part of her “99 Nights Tour.”
Cardin will be in Istanbul on Nov. 21. She will perform on Nov. 22 in Ankara for the first time.
FJAAK, one of the leading names in electronic music, and German musician Ellen Allien will also take the stage in Istanbul. They will perform on Oct. 5 as part of the Sound Safari organization.
South African DJ and music producer Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo and who brought African House music to the world stage, will perform in Bodrum district of Türkiye’s southwestern Mugla province.
The artist will meet his fans on Aug. 6.
Guitar virtuoso Al Di Meola to perform again in Türkiye
Known in the music world for blending jazz and world music, US guitar virtuoso Al Di Meola will take the stage in Istanbul on Sept. 26. As part of his “The Electric Years” tour, he will perform a repertoire different from his usual format.
Canadian dream pop band Ghostly Kisses will also perform in Istanbul on Oct. 3.
The band, with Margaux Sauve on vocals and Louis-Etienne Santais, will perform songs inspired by personal experiences and art.
Türkiye tour with 3 concerts by Hauser
Croatian cellist Stjepan Hauser will give concerts in Izmir as well as Istanbul and Antalya provinces.
Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi, one of the important names of contemporary classical music, will also take the stage in Istanbul on Sept. 11-12.
Jethro Tull also to be in Istanbul
British rock band Jethro Tull, considered one of the pioneers of modern rock music, will give a concert in Istanbul on Nov. 23.
Grammy award-winning British singer and songwriter Seal, who has written many songs including “Kiss from a Rose,” “Crazy” and “Stand by Me,” will meet his fans in Istanbul on Oct. 12.
Bryan Adams to perform songs from his album ‘So Happy It Hurts’
Canadian singer-songwriter and musician Bryan Adams will meet his fans in Istanbul on Oct. 18. He will also perform songs from his album “So Happy It Hurts.”
Istanbul will also witness concerts from the rock band Placebo on Aug. 4, from Swedish progressive rock band Opeth on Aug. 13-14, from the US thrash metal band Overkill on Aug. 31, from German rock band Accept on Oct. 17, and from the Swedish progressive metal band Soen on Oct. 22.
Soen will also take the stage in Izmir on Oct. 20 and in Ankara on Oct. 21.
