330 More Corpses Found in Nias Island

Spokesperson for the National Disaster Aid Coordination Agency Budi Atmaji Adiputro informed that they have estimated more corpses will be discovered from under the wreckage and there are concerns about the increase in the death toll.

Indonesian authorities had already confirmated the deaths of 400, of whom 100 were found in Simeulue Island and 300 on Nias Island.

It was announced that many people were injured and hundreds of houses had been demolished on Nias Island, which is located close to the earthquake’s epicenter.
