CBRT Governor Erkan and German Ambassador Schulz Discuss Turkish-German Economic Relations – Turkiye Newspaper
Dr. Hafize Gaye Erkan, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT), attended the meeting titled ‘Financial Perspective on Turkish-German Economic Relations’ organized by the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerceand Industry(AHK Türkiye) and Jurgen ,the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Germany.
‘TÜRKİYE HAS GREAT POTENTIAL FOR INVESTORS’
According to a statement released by AHK Türkiye, the meeting was held in Ankara with the participation of German Ambassador to Ankara Jürgen Schulz, CBRT Governor Erkan, andBurkhard Balz, Member of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Germany. In the statement, AHK Türkiye President Pinar Ersoy stated that she was honored to host CBRT Governor Erkan and Balz, Member of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Germany.
Emphasizing that Turkish-German economic relations are the product of a long-standing historical partnership and that this relationship has contributed significantly to the growth and development of both countries, Ersoy said that Türkiye’s dynamic economy creates great potential in the eyes of foreign investors and that many German companies have recently been working on investing in Türkiye with increasing stability. Ersoy stated that stronger trade relations and increasing mutual investments between Türkiye and Germany will continue to be the primary focus of AHK Türkiye’s activities.
‘TURKISH-GERMAN ECONOMIC RELATIONS VERY INTENSE’
“Turkish-German economic relations are particularly intense. I was pleased to discuss monetary policy perspectives with Dr. Hafize Gaye Erkan, Governor of the CBRT, and Burkhard Balz, Member of the Board of Governors of the German Central Bank,” German Ambassador to Ankara Jurgen Schulz emphasized.
In their speeches, CBRT Governor Erkan and Balz, Member of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Germany, touched upon the economic relations between Germany and Türkiye, emphasizing that the traditional close ties between the two countries provide a good basis for this. Hafize Gaye Erkan made a presentation on the inflation outlook and the transition to disinflation. The meeting was attended by representatives of more than 200 member companies of AHK Türkiye.
